Welcome to Doula on Board. I'm Laurie Browne, a Birthing Doula servicing Milton, Acton, Georgetown, Oakville, and western Mississauga.

What is a birth Doula and why do I need one? 

A birth doula is a professional labour support person. My role is to empower the mother by providing emotional support, physical comfort through relaxation... massage... positioning and other techniques. I also offer information and resources throughout pregnancy to help you make informed decisions for your birthplan and care whether a hospital delivery or a home birth, a natural birth or c-section. I also offer support to your partner throughout their experience as well and may be used to communicate with your caregivers to ensure you have the birth experience that you have chosen.

My services include 2-3 prenatal visits.

Being on call 24/7 for 2 weeks. 1 week before & 1 week after due date

Attend birth no matter how long it takes.

At least 1 postpartum visit after you go home with your new baby.

Available via phone or email throughout pregnancy to answer questions and share resources.
